The members of Hayduke first met as undergrads at Temple University's Boyer College of Music. Bandleader Sam Bishoff started Hayduke as a way to bring together the R&B and pop he listened to growing up with the jazz that he studied in school. His goal was to write music that was as fun to play as it was to listen to.
